Indeed, even as the surge waters subside, the fury of Hurricane Harvey isn't over in Texas.
Groups of fire ants have found the need to join together as a way to survive and ride out the storm. The formation of tiny ant islands is made possible sticky pads underneath their feet. Known for their painful bites, these ant clusters should be avoided at all costs.

As if the people of Texas didn’t already have enough to worry about. For those helping with the hurricane relief efforts, let this be a reminder to dress for just about anything…including fire ants.
